Research Areas and Overview
The alliance will perform research in the four areas of (i) network theory (ii) security across system of systems (iii) sensor information processing and delivery and (iv) distributed coalition planning and decision making.
-
Doing groundbreaking theoretical work to develop a framework and set of design principles for wireless military networks that make possible their interoperation and self organization.
-
Developing a policy-based security management system and implementing the infrastructure and tools needed to provide effective security in the dynamic and challenging environment of coalition operations.
-
Determining the quality of information of sensor data, inventing an infrastructure so that it can be optimally shared, and enhancing its usefulness by reducing complexity.
-
Developing methods and techniques to support human-centric distributed collaborative planning and decision-making, and by developing and using new tools for cultural analysis, eliminating ambiguity in these critical activities.
